Abstract

This study investigated Digital Competencies and Usage of Electronic Information Resources
amongst Postgraduate Students of Faculty of Social Sciences in Delta State University, Abraka.
The study was made of 164 postgraduate students of the faculty of social sciences. The entire
population was used as a result of the size of the population. A descriptive survey design of the
correlational type was adopted for the study. Questionnaire was used to elicit information from
the respondents. Retrieved data was analysed using mean with a criterion mean of 2.50. The
study revealed that the overall result on the competencies of postgraduate students is high but
the level of competencies in some of the individual items assessed is low. In conclusion, the study
recommended that the various digital skills should be acquired to enable easy access to
electronic tools and resources.
